Premier Tree Services are looking for skilled, experienced and competent Arborists to join our growing team.
We work across a wide range of sectors for a diverse range of clients, and due to the award of new contracts and an increase in workflow, we have a number of roles available for operatives with the relevant skills.

Mandatory requirements are

• Relevant industry qualifications e.g. 201(CS30), 202(CS31), 206/306(CS38) , 308(CS39).
• Comfortable and experienced undertaking arboricultural duties including tree pruning, dismantling & felling
• A full UK Driving licence is essential, preferably with trailer towing experience
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Desirable requirements include

• NVQ in Arboriculture or equivalent
• CSCS card
• UA competencies

Additional rates available for operatives with competencies and experience in operating some of our specialist plant including.

• Excavators (with grab, tree shear and flail)
• Mulchers & flails (Green climber, Skid steer, and tractor mounted)
• Tractors (with flails, trailers, chippers and winches)
• MEWPS (truck and track mounted)
• Grab fed chippers, stump grinders
• C+E HGV Licence,

Arborists Wanted – County Durham – Full Time - £26,000 to £32,000.

Due to an expanding workload we are now recruiting and have full-time positions for Apprentices, Climbers, Plant Operatives, Utility Arborists and Team Leaders to support our current teams based in Peterlee, County Durham and covering the Northeast of England and surrounding areas

Preferred Skills
As a minimum candidates must hold CS30, CS31, CS38 have a full UK driving licence and working experience.

Preferred skills CS39 40 and 41 are preferable
Further training will be given as required.

Vacancy - Contracts Manager

Due to increased workload and increase in operational staffing levels we are looking to recruit a Contracts Manager to join our team delivering high quality Arboricultural services to a wide range of clients in the commercial, utility, public and domestic sectors.

The successful candidate will assist the Directors and Operations Manager with the smooth operation of all Arboricultural operations

We require a highly motivated individual with enthusiasm and passion for the industry to work within a team environment; you will manage a number of teams to deliver high standards of work in a safe and productive

Candidates should have proven industry experience in a similar role or a related discipline and fit into a professional yet friendly operation with high emphasis on quality.

Candidates should hold:

A Formal qualification in Arboriculture.
Have good communication and people skills
Good level of IT skills
Experience in planning teams and meeting targets
Strong knowledge of Health and Safety systems and quality controls
Have a full driving license


Candidates should be capable of

Liaison with multiple clients
Creating new business opportunities and securing contracts
Effective deployment of staff resources
Budget management
Personnel management of day to day activity, staff appraisals.
Production of team work-packs including risk assessments, method statements and contract specific paperwork
Quality Management and site inspection

As well as the below we are also looking for subcontractor climbers, groundsman & 2-3 man teams to assist with current workload

• Team leader / Lead climbers with ideally 3 years experience, CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39, be confident in reductions, dismantling, felling and running arborist teams, Driving licence required
• Climbing arborists with minimum 1 years experience
• Experienced groundsman

Experience & competencies with excavators, tractors, mulchers and HGV licence would be beneficial but not essential

Pay grades dependant on qualifications, competence and experience

Climbing arborists, (several positions)

Positions can be on a PAYE or Sub contract basis
Applicants should have relevant competencies and be able to demonstrate safe, high quality workmanship.

Apprentice arborist (1 position)

No competencies or experience needed but a keen interest in working outdoors with trees and vegetation is required

PPE, holidays & pension are provided and salaries are dependent on the candidates experience and ability.
