Last Wednesday evening the club welcomed Becky Webb from Pink Wellies who gave a marvellous demonstration and lots of tips on making Christmas decorations using all natural foliage. Thank you Becky, great evening enjoyed by all.

The clubs June garden visit was to “Pink Wellies” Becky Webbs farm at Eastcote where Becky very kindly showed us round the flower beds she has created to grow British flowers for her arrangements and classes.
It was a beautiful summer’s evening and we all enjoyed sitting on the terrace being served tea and homemade cake. Nobody wanted to go home !!!!
Thank you Becky for a very enjoyable evening and look forward to to seeing you again in November when you will be giving the club a demonstration on Christmas garlands and wreath’s.

Club members paid a visit to Cramden Nursery last week and what an interesting and enjoyable evening we all had thanks to Emily who gave us a very in depth talk on the different types and care of growing pelargoniums followed by tea and cake.

Our Guest Speaker last night was Malcolm Moody, council member of the British Orchid Society, who gave a fascinating talk on the proper care and feeding of orchids. Malcolm has over 300 orchids in his greenhouse and has won multiple awards. Theo talk was well received by members and guests. Watch this space - we may see Malcolm again for even more information on orchids.
