As a small business we don’t have spare people to handle things , so the people you see are the people that do everything from the quotation to the end result , from the servicing and maintenance to paperwork .
We have spent years to bring you the most professional service and the best price.
So when we spend hours quoting , from driving to the job costing diesel to time sat there working everything out then for the customer to keep trying to get it cheaper and cheaper comparing your quote with companies that have been around 2 minutes but have good pictures on the advertising page of other people’s work ! then to cancel the job because they was a £100 cheaper so I’m now more than £100 out of pocket for fuel and time wasted it’s not nice.
So going forward now with jobs I have no option but to take deposits on work booked in also we will not be haggling down to peanuts, our price is our price, you wouldn’t go into the petrol station and barter a tank of fuel down would you .
I am debating charging for quotes and also it’s not hard to give yourself an idea how much a driveway will cost in this day and age . You have Google , chat gpt etc with most materials now costing over £100 a meter to install, your average driveway will cost around £6000, this saves us giving you the quote and you nearly falling through the floor thinking it would cost a few hundred pounds
