Beautifully bespoke understairs pull-out storage designed and built for a lovely couple as part of a renovation to the downstairs of their home.
Clean handleless design, heavy duty drawer runners, soft close hinges, and sprayed by the very talented AMR Decor. I feel very fortunate to be able to add this work to my growing portfolio!

House goals!
Thoroughly enjoyed designing, making, and installing this feature piece in the hallway of this beautiful Great Ayton home.

All built on site and completely from scratch to fit the under-stairs space perfectly.

Birch ply interior for all carcasses and drawer

Oak worktops with waney edge solid oak shelves

Recessed LEDs into underside of shelves with no visible cables

Cornice made to match existing cut string staircase mouldings

Large 750mm soft close shoe drawer with non slip matting for wet shoes

All internals coated in a low sheen lacquer

Bespoke fitted wardrobes, Yarm

Working closely with my clients to design and build exactly what they wanted, creatively using the space with the ceiling sloping into the eaves.

Every element of these 6 metre wardrobes was precisely made from scratch and installed on site to fit the room. All 4 pull out drawers are on a motion sensor LED lighting system, with heavy duty soft close runners. Each pair of doors has their own sensor too, with incorporated LED hanging rails.

All internal drawers are made using clear birch plywood, and the drawer fronts cut from a single sheet so that the grain flows through beautifully. I also made some very cute jewellery boxes with a hidden compartment underneath
By far one of the biggest fitted units I have done to date, and with my clients putting their trust in me, I felt able to be creative and do my thing.

This was very throughly hand painted by my client in Frenchic ‘Cool Beans’

Really pleased with this beautiful home office that we custom-made in Seamer.
This piece of furniture was precisely made to fit the room and to maximise the storage space, featuring;
Face-framed units
Shaker doors with bead detail on soft close hinges,
Birch-ply drawers on effortlessly smooth runners, Custom ‘printer drawer’ with power supply,
Solid oak worktops
All spraying completed by the very talented AMR Decor
I would love to do more like this, a really rewarding project.

Solid oak and glass staircase renovation in Yarm, complimented by a bespoke wall panelling in hallway with new under-stair cupboard. Newel posts made to match the two existing. Cupboard doors made to proportion of existing internal doors. This has been such a gratifying job to take on; from minor building works, down to the detailed finishing touches. The stairs were finished by Finesse French Polishing, and the oak flooring was sanded down and re finished by the team at FlooRestore.

Beautiful hand-made study in Yarm. All designed, created and installed on site to fit the shape of the room perfectly. Three spotlights installed at the centre of each unit to really make it a focal point of the room. Hand painted finish in a fantastic choice of colour by my client. Discreet access to plumbing services behind.
Thoroughly enjoyed this project. Please please share and comment as it really helps boost my small local business. One very happy customer! Returning soon to build some wardrobes!

Bespoke mud room! A great project to carry out as part of ongoing works over the last few months to a beautiful property in Yarm.
Seating area with shoe storage beneath and a large utility cupboard was made from scratch on site. All made to clients’ specifications with inspiration from her Pinterest board.
Solid birch-ply drawers with continuous grain along fronts. Staff beaded face-frame detail, with shaker pattern doors and end panels, featuring a large decorative cornice.
All hardware beautifully soft closing. These have both been prepared and hand-painted with a coat of matt lacquer for durability.

Solid Hemlock stair conversion with Colonial spindles and newel posts.
A lot of careful work went into making this layout possible before installing the new parts; removing stud work, taking out original ply balustrade, installing a new trimmer on the landing to enable room for the handrail to comfortable run alongside, and strengthening the floor joists beneath the stairs to make everything rigid before the finishing work began. Once the new stair parts where installed, I created an under-stair cupboard with a door made bespoke to match the interior doors throughout the house.
This was very skilfully finished by Finesse French polishing, adding the colour to the spindles and base-rail with a clear finish to the handrail to tie in with the hemlock doors upstairs.
