We have a new opportunity for an experienced Bench Joiner to join our team for an immediate start due to continued growth.

A knowledge in hand crafted bespoke joinery along with an understanding of curved work will be required to fit in comfortably with the rest of our skilled workforce and ever-increasing workload.

We have a varied and therefore interesting workload, suitable for a keen and capable candidate, consisting of but not limited to, curved staircases, circular windows, traditional sliding sash windows, casement windows, bespoke doors, and furniture.

Each of our staff are competent in the whole process of manufacture, from setting out, to machining and assembly, occasionally right through to the install on site.

Job role may also include occasional driving to pick up materials and deliver to site if required.

Bench Joiner Requirements:
• Interested in working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to a high standard of finish
• Team player
• Candidate to have minimum NVQ 2 in Bench Joinery or the equivalent qualifications
• Full UK Driving License desirable

Experience:
• Joinery: 5 years (preferred)

Schedule:
• 7:30am - 5pm - Monday to Friday
• Occasional overtime

Driving in off Earls Colne airfield this morning with a sense of pride.

Case Study: Heslop Road - Bespoke Joinery

The Client:
We worked with Chase Construction to renovate this property for one of their private clients. The aim of the project was to modernise and update the house. The house would then be moved in to immediately and used as a family home

The Project:
We manufactured and installed wardrobes to the bedrooms, bathroom units and cistern tops in the bathrooms and a double sink table. We also manufactured and fitted pantry units in the kitchen, one built to house a fridge freezer and desks and shelving for nooks in the lounge.

The double sink table was made from Oak along with the cistern tops to match. For the furniture in the bathrooms and kitchen we used moisture resistant MDF that was fully finished in a PU paint system. All internal shelves were produced in a Birch Ply to give them added strength. For the bedroom wardrobes we used an Oak veneered MDF.

Case Study - Listed Edwardian House - Surrey

The Client:
We were asked to work on this Grade II listed Edwardian house that was built in the early 1900’s. We worked with Smallwood Architects who were brought in to undertake various refurbishments of the property for the new owner who wanted to reinstate some of the houses lost original features.

The Project:
We designed, manufactured and installed a new portico for the front of the property. The original portico had been removed sometime before so there was nothing original left to work with.

The portico was a particularly challenging project due to its curved design and structure and the intricate detail required to replicate the original details on the cornice and the porticos exterior.

We also manufactured and installed new bespoke windows and doors to the orangery and completed restoration of the existing door surrounds.

Case Study - Commercial Project -Office Kitchen London

The Client:
We were asked to refit the break and tea point area of this open plan office space. Due to the open plan design of the office we had to ensure that what we manufactured and installed was in-keeping with the existing office design. The client wanted a bright, smart and contemporary area for staff to be able to meet and relax.

The Project:
We manufactured and installed new benches, tables, shelving, a new kitchen and an island unit/bar. The clean and modern design ensured that the manufacture and installation of this office kitchen was straightforward and uncomplicated.

The Feedback:
The team were extremely happy with their new office space and the client was pleased that the project ran smoothly and to time. The team were able to move in as planned with no disruption to business. A success for all concerned!
