Something a little different to trees and hedges today!

Today Samantha and I have celebrated our fantastic three-year wedding anniversary in the best way possible — at Silverstone, taking part in an incredible McLaren track experience day, thanks to the very generous invitation from DEWALT.

We’ve both had an absolutely fantastic day. The cars were seriously impressive, and getting the opportunity to experience in driving them around Silverstone was something we’ll never forget.

It’s also been a real pleasure spending the day with the DEWALT team in a more relaxed setting. Thank you to everyone who made the day so special — we’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute!

Here’s to three years, plenty more adventures together, and memories like these. ❤️🏎️🥂

Removal of this sycamore, which had Kretzschmaria decay present, was carried out using a MEWP and controlled lowering techniques to ensure a safe and efficient working practice. The tree was carefully dismantled and brought down safely, with all waste chipped on site and the larger timber ringed and left for the customer.

We then moved on to clear up a fallen ash limb and remove a smaller ash tree that had also failed. All waste was dealt with appropriately and the site was left clean and tidy upon completion.

We were asked to remove this row of leylandii trees this spring due to a recent stem failure falling into the new build next door. All the trees were safely dismantled with use of the digger and chipped. We removed roughly 12 tonne of material off this job within 4 and a half hours. Thank you Jonny for allowing us to use your Arbmax whilst ours was having a slight teething problem.

A recent oak limb failure we tidied up for a local school. Unfortunately the limb failure did quite a bit of damage, we did our very best to limit any additional damage with the use of our Bobcat E27 lifting sections of timber off the surrounding objects. Dusty day on the chipper today. We were removing several dead trees in an area close to a public footpath, so safety was a top priority. In addition to installing extra signage, we brought additional personnel to help manage the work area. Using helmet communications allowed us to stay in constant contact throughout the operation, ensuring the work was carried out as safely and efficiently as possible.

Shame to see this sycamore go. As a child, I remember climbing this tree and lying under it whilst revising for exams. The tree was reccomended for removal in a arboricultural implications report then approved for removal within an application we submitted to the local authority. We look forward to replanting a replacement within this area in the not so long future. It’s a reminder of how trees play a part in our everyday lives.

With access being tight at this local job, our set up using the digger was the best possible way of completing this site. Not to mention the added bonus of saving our backs from aching! The customer first requested the stumps to be left around 3-4 ft high, then decided to have them all removed afterwards.
