We try as much as we can to avoid using rodenticide (rat/mouse poison). With a low infestation today traps are the perfect choice . Once infestation has been removed we will proof the broken drain fitting . Why not just proof the fitting??? Simply because the rats have become accustomed to this area so they will potentially cause more damage and enter within the property if not removed completely first .
1 , remove the pest 2, prevent further infestation. In an ideal world this would be sealed off before rats took advantage but in this case rats have set up camp .
