⚠️ Attention ⚠️ Fake UK plugs!

During a PAT test we came across this little gem.
This is a new plug that has been made in China to get around the need to send uk adapters with there appliances.

Please if you receive an item with a plug like this, please send it back or remove it and have a UK 13amp
Plug fitted. This is highly unsafe and does not conform to BS 1363. This item is wired without a internal fuse and will not protect you or the appliance if it goes wrong.

Please be vigilant and check all your plugs as this could lead to house fires.

It's getting to that time of year again, where customers get out their Blow heaters/ fan heaters and plug them in. If you do, then please remember to plug directly into a wall socket not an extension lead.

The amount of current drawn from a heating element is a lot higher than most things. Extention leads aren't designed to pull that amount of current, so if you're luckly they will trip at the extention lead and this will be a sign to remove it as its overloading the extention lead. However if you're unlucky and this is much more common, you will come back to this! Or worse a small fire.

Don't be tempted to run your heaters off of an extension lead. (I've been to too many house fires 🔥 and seen the damage it can cause)

Stay safe and if in doubt call a professional.

From this to this. We received a call from complaining about their lack of light at night during their events. In their own words " why are our trucks so dimly lit compared to the other catering trucks at these events?"

So looking at their ageing led lights, we found that it was time to upgrade. Led technology has come on so much even in the last 3 years. So the fact these trucks were fitted out 5 years ago its no wonder how much brighter we can make them.

So we changed all the led strip lighting and added some more lighting for under shelf units and menu boars along with advertising lighting.
