We’ve had quite a few people asking how much it costs for us to come out and inspect their property for rats or mice, so here’s a quick explanation! 👇

Whether it’s your house, garage, shed, workshop or other outbuildings, we can carry out a full site inspection to help identify the problem.

🔎 FULL SITE INSPECTION – £50

For £50, we will:

✅ Inspect for signs of rat or mouse activity.
✅ Identify potential entry points and problem areas.
✅ Look for possible causes of the problem.
✅ Advise on proofing and prevention to help stop rodents getting in.
✅ Recommend the most suitable next steps.

🐀 WHAT IF FURTHER TREATMENT IS NEEDED?

If additional products or treatment are required, such as traps, bait stations, rodenticide or other suitable control measures, these will be priced separately depending on what’s needed.

We believe in providing honest advice and helping you understand the problem before spending money on unnecessary products.

Meet the team!

Hello, my names Ben and I’m the Director of Harling Pest Control.

I’ve worked in agriculture since I was 15 and have spent the past four years in pest control. My agricultural background means a large part of our work focuses on pest control for the agricultural industry.

Day to day, I handle call-outs, invoicing, paperwork, audits and inspections. I’m also the voice at the end of the phone when you call…now you can put a face to the name! Leave a message if you don’t get through. I will get back to you.📞

Some might say I’m the quieter, grumpier member of the team—but I promise I don’t mean to come across that way! I’m happiest when out shooting or relaxing with a pint in hand. 🍻

Meet the team!

This is Kevin and he is the main pest control technician for Harling pest control.

Kevin has 8 years experience in pest control and has been with us for over a year.

Day to day Kev is in charge off all the regular contract customers going round monthly to make sure everything is under control. He also is always on the phone for any call outs. 📞

Kev is a big smiley character who is always cracking a joke or telling a good story ( back in the good ol days 🫣) you will often see Kev driving round in the silver rat van. Give him a wave but don’t stop him for a chat 😂

Thanks for all your hard work Kev. Keep Up the good work for the future. Not letting you retire yet!

A different type of wasp nest today.

With all the hot weather lately a local lakes water level had dropped and the wasps had taken up residency a meter deep under the reeds root system.

No way of treating from the bank so I had to take the jump and get stuck in.🐝

Busy week treating wasp nests in the heat 🥵

Lots of standard treatments under tiles, in fascia’s and brick work.

Some slightly different ones today. Aggressive little nest behind a porch light on a new build and a hornets nest in a bird box to finish the week off. 🐝

We had a phone call from a lovely wedding venue in north Norfolk to say they are being plagued with wasps and needed urgent help as they have two weddings this week.

The staff had reported 2 nests. After a full inspection around the main wedding venue, walled garden and neighbouring cottage we found 9 active wasp nests.

Myself and Kevin got suited up and treated them all. We will be checked later on this afternoon to make sure all are not longer active.

Good luck to the brides and grooms this week and rest assured you won’t have wasps buzzing round your head when the Champaign is popped and the fizz is flowing 🍾
