🛠️🛠️Week 20/52 🛠️🛠️

Last week was another belter in the books with the big bathroom over in Inchinnan coming to a close 🛠️ top class work from all involved 👏🏼 from the organisation, the prep work, the tiling and the finishing, can’t fault the team! Superb work, and the most important thing is we have another returning Squad customer who’s over the moon. 🚀

How we managed to lift and manoeuvre that bath into position and not damage it is worth a 5 star review in itself 😂💪🏼 benefit of being team handed.

Down the road we had a new bathroom starting in Rutherglen, which is being prepped and tiled this week 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽 and a bunch of upgrades in a property in Kings Park - unvented hot water cylinder giving us increased water pressure throughout, and some new electric radiators in place of the old electric / storage heaters. We are back there next month for the bathroom. 🛁

We had 5 fancy radiators to hang on the wall and pipe up at a cracking property in Newton Mearns, the rads have now been removed for decorating and flooring 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽🛠️

A few other jobs scattered about Glasgow and EK, and another flying visit down Turnberry made up the rest of the week, with all the regular admin madness and quotes etc sandwiched in between 💪🏼

Boiler services to bathroom specialties! We’ve had a big week! 🔥 week 19 recap 🙌🏼⬇️

Big win last week was getting the bathroom and en suite doubler in Cambuslang fitted out, painted, sealed up, snagged, and handed over to the customers who are just delighted. ❤️ Only the made to measure mirror to finish off the en suite next week, once it’s ready.

Kevs been over at the big bathroom tiling all week, over 40m2 including 12 trims, 4 niches, a tv cut out and a wet floor 😂 and it’s looking fantastic 🔥 we are back midweek to fit out after the joiner and painter. 🛠️

We’ve teamed up with the lads at to work on a bathroom over in bishopriggs. That one has been ripped out and prepped, with the new bath in ready for Kev in tiling next week. Monday morning metros yeeha 😆

At the end of the week we had a few upgrades in a bathroom in rutherglen, we managed to swap the bath out without damaging the tiles. 🪄 New bath panel and screen, and a new basin and toilet pan.

In amongst all those bathrooms, we’ve had the usual small jobs and a couple of emergencies to attend. Throw in a few job surveys, and multiple quotes sent out, and that’s a pretty busy week for the squad!

Elite level organisation required, as well as military standard robustness 🙄 to cope with all the trades, materials, emergencies, last minute logistics and everything else that comes with multiple jobs running at once 😂 But we still deliver the best possible service we can at the end of the day! So thanks to all the staff, subbies and suppliers for continuously making at happen. 👏🏼

I’ve actually forgot that the week started off with a flat tyre for me, seems like a life time ago, and we somehow squeezed in a trip to Turnberry where Kenny was sh***in wi gas right in the middle of the week as well. Busy boys 😂🛠️

Weeks 17 & 18 at the Plumbin!… New signing?👀

The big news aside from the usual plumbing and bathroom bits - is that we’ve taken on another youngster 🛠️ Big welcome to 18 year old Aaran, who has been out working with us for the past 7 weeks on a paid placement. “The system” doesn’t make it easy to give young people a chance these days, so there’s a few thanks due to the folks who made the trial possible. More to come in the coming weeks 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

Out on the front line; we fitted out a dark moody “downstairs toilet” in Hamilton. Just waiting on the magic man to tidy up the flooring and the hole in the concrete from where we altered the waste 🔥

Bathroom and en suite doubler in Cambuslang have both been ripped out, prepped, plastered and tiled 👏🏼 and we are in to fit out and paint over the next few days.

Big belter over Inchinnan way has also been fully ripped out and prepped within an inch of its life over the last 6 days. 💪🏼 As always, a load of unseen graft goes into bringing the visions to life, swipe along to see the various stages of the room before the tiling takes place next week 😆 Class work over there so far, exciting to see it coming together.

You’re gonna wanna swipe to the end 🛠️➡️

Incredible transformation in Rutherglen which took place last year! 📸 an aging disabled access wetroom stripped and flipped into a modern masterpiece! 🫶🏻

Every now and again a customer comes along with ideas that are different, they maybe want to supply some materials, and let us supply the rest, they maybe want to have a say on specific details that other customers wouldn’t even notice, they’ll maybe pop their heads in every night and make some minor (or major) adjustments 😂 and if you’re really lucky, they’ll maybe even do you a detailed cad drawing with dimensions and notes to show you EXACTLY how they want something done….

Since the beginning of Plumb Squad I’ve taken great pride in being able to work WITH every type of customer on any type of job. We can do anything and everything and we can do it well. We don’t tell clients they can’t have something or we can’t do something just because it’s going to take a bit of graft. 😉

Proud of the full squad, subbies and all, and delighted with the way we worked with the client to bring this one to life!

Week 16/52 🎂🛠️ left it late as everyone would’ve been out enjoying the sun, but now you’re tucked up in bed scrolling waiting to hear what the squad have been up to! 🙄😂 so here it is!

Big week with one of our favourite jobs of the year so far; transforming a rough old ground floor bathroom, and also upgrading and relocating the combi boiler from the utility into the new bathroom while we were at it!! 🔥

Midweek I enjoyed a day on the tools, prepping what will be a classy wee cloakroom with two of our youngest Plumbs for a Plumb Squad ViP. Enjoyed my day and was pleased with the graft the troops put in throughout the day. Top team! 🙌🏼

If you’re an avid story watcher you would have noticed Kenny tried to slip through the week without a birthday fuss!! But luckily we caught up on Friday and there was still time for cakes and candles…. Kenny’s birthday has now been coined the annual Sh***in wi gas day thanks to our favourite boiler rep 😂 still time for a belated happy birthday in the comments….. and we’ve got another BIG squad birthday this week. 🎂🫶🏻

Small jobs, emergencies, job surveys and quotes were sandwiched in between the big jobs as usual - YES WE STILL DO SMALL JOBS 📢😂 and the week was rounded off with another sexy boiler instal on Friday 👏🏼

🛠️Busy week and busy weekend - week 3🛠️

Main project this week was getting a start on a tiny “downstairs toilet” (that’s what we call a WC in Scotland) which is being transformed into a tight wee wetroom 💦 Full rip out has taken place, new window opening cut in by , and plumbing first fix is in progress with another taking up most of the floor! Stay tuned 🤳🏼 back in there tomorrow!

We had some questions on our full heating system flush on Thursday, carried out by Kenny and Brad using the kit, more on this in another post. 🔥

On the side - We were back down to our big reno in Turnberry fitting rads and bathrooms. A few other smaller jobs around South Lanarkshire with toilet, sink and tap repairs, and some other plumbinny bits and bobs. 🚰

I was lucky enough to be invited out to Partick Thistle hospitality on Saturday for a bit of plumbing and bathroom networking 🤪🍻 good to see the jags run out 2-1 winners and the opposing manager sent off 😂🟥
