We have an exciting new role available for a proactive and enthusiastic Finance Assistant, who has experience in a similar role and other areas within Finance (e.g. AR/ AP). The role will support our Accountant and integrate with our small Finance team as we continue to grow. This is a key role in day-to-day finance operations and will enable us to build stronger financial control.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:
• Assist in preparing monthly Management Accounts (incl. prepayments and accruals) and reporting as required

• Ad hoc transaction processing, journal preparation, daily cashflow reporting and organising data

• Balance sheet reconciliations and finance control processes

𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
• Experience as a Finance Assistant or a similar role (1-2 years)

• Advanced excel skills, proficient other MS Office skills

• Sage 50 Payroll Processing experience (desirable)

• Strong communication skills and great attention to detail and accuracy

• A proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude and team-focused mindset

📢 We're Hiring: Rail Sentinel Coordinator

In this key role, you'll help ensure our rail workforce remains compliant, competent, and ready for deployment by managing Sentinel records, coordinating training, monitoring certifications, and supporting workforce planning.

📍 Location: East Kilbride
💷 Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 DOE
🕒 Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 4:00pm
📄 Full-Time | Permanent

What You'll Be Doing:
• Managing Sentinel records and competency updates
• Coordinating training, medicals, and recertifications
• Monitoring compliance requirements and expiry dates
• Producing workforce competency reports
• Supporting rail recruitment and onboarding activities
• Working with Network Rail, training providers, and operational teams

What We're Looking For:
• Strong administration or coordination experience
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• A proactive approach and attention to detail

⭐ Rail industry experience, Sentinel knowledge, and understanding of Network Rail standards are advantageous but not essential.

In continuation to giving back to the community and being a proud sponsor of East Kilbride Football Club we are excited to share the progress of our most recent contribution. We have been building a new car park for the club and as you can see we’ve really expanded the space.

Sand supplied from our work cleaning water processing plants and reclaimed via our D-Max GRIT SCREENING equipment we were able to reclaim the sand 85%. Also using recycled 6F2 and Type 1 from our recycling yard, we were able to completely build solid foundations for the stadium car park, benefitting the EKFC Stadium and supporters attending matches. By recycling and reclaiming material we were effortlessly able to produce results like you can see in this photo!

We are looking forward to the next phase and will continue to support local community projects in and around East Kilbride.
