Grant Aerona 3 10kw Heat pump installation for a long term customer of mine in calstock, on his self build, Scandinavian style bungalow.

System includes heat-loss calculated heating system with an supplied, 12 zoned solid floor underfloor heating pipework system, with digital stats throughout.

Unvented quick recovery hot water system coupled up to uponor mlcp, run to each bathroom separately, with no joints under the floor. Secondary return run to the furthest point and looped to each bathroom via an bronze pump, via a single channel programmer for timed instantaneous hot water.

New 15/21 heat only install complete with manifolded rad circuit with 170L unvented cylinder installation with lagged pipework throughout, nest fitted via s plan and frost stat fitted internally as main part of the system is in the garage . Oil tank in an unsafe position and noted. Customer needed heat but will be moving oil tank in the near future, plume kit taken above and beyond for regs with helping throughout the instal.

New build Underfloor heating installation. 1100m of 16mm ufh pipework installed over 150m2 with . Installed a 12 branch manifold in a cupboard space ready for screeding. All components supplied from . Ashp going in on this one in a few months time.

Haven’t posted in a longtime, due to having a little time off to get married and have a honeymoon. Also to the lead up this I managed to get myself gas safety registered. So as a bit of an update here’s a few pictures of the worked completed. Full gas system installation with unvented cylinder, full new build 1st fix with wastes and pre lagged mlcp pipework throughout, oil fired combination boiler removed, this was leaking poc into the building, installed a complete system upgrade with a grant oil fired boiler and unvented cylinder. My first gas service turned in to a boiler switch off due to the boiler being unsafe to use which required me to turn the boiler off. Replaced the boiler including as much of the unwanted pipework around the boiler, this included a new gas run nest instal and cylinder stat change, Lots of this work completed, was assisted by Gary to get me through the deadlines I needed to achieve.

Had an oil fired system in a large not well insulated property with a 25/32 combination boiler unable to get the internal temperature of the property above 14’ degrees. Changed 3 sets of Valves and put a cleaner through the system and attached a magnacleanse to the system for 12 hours, which was long enough to produce this. Had the system running with the magna cleanse attached and aggitated the rads with an sds gently, did this individually with each radiator and this is the result with a now room temperature that the customer has never achieved of nearly 20’.

Completed the little barn a few weeks back, managed to cram all this into the cupboard with just about enough room for the electrics and main fused board but happy with the result. All services all live via the domestic manifold set up, the ufh all commissioned and now steadily ticking over ready for the first guests.

Been really quiet on here of late, due to trying to become gas qualified, this is on going and hoping to be completing this in the new year, I’ve also completed some other heating design courses but here’s one of the installs I’ve been working on. This house was fully occupied with the tenants belongings this made it tough for instal. The property was an odd shape with little or no insulation and big heat loss. Also there was no room for cylinder or internal boiler, so the property required a big external combi with high level plume kit. 1000L oil tank installation with new base and oil line run, with new sized radiators and copper pipework throughout the instal.
