Valley replacement completed. The original lead had cracked because it was installed as one full-length piece instead of being correctly sectioned to allow for thermal expansion and contraction. We’ve replaced it using the proper method to ensure a durable, long-lasting finish.

This video shows the breather membrane at the eaves after it was left exposed without an eaves support tray. Due to prolonged UV exposure, the membrane has become so brittle that it can be broken off with nothing more than a finger.

A breather membrane is designed as a secondary weather barrier, not to remain permanently exposed. Without the correct eaves detail, UV degradation can compromise its durability and ability to direct any penetrating water safely into the gutter.

This is an example of why correct installation at the eaves is essential.
