Progress is being made at a local project of ours which started construction a mere 3 weeks ago! This residential two storey extension will eventually enhance the detached family home, restoring some coherence to previous adaptations that were carried out over the course of the building's history.

It's difficult to talk about this single storey kitchen/diner extension without quoting 2010 sci-fi film Inception's "We need to go deeper".

Following advice from Building Control, it was necessary to dig deeper to find ground suitable for the foundations - up to 2m below ground level in some instances!

Over the course of Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd April, Kathryn will be involved in the Eco Open Houses event across Worthing, Lancing and Shoreham, sharing ways in which homeowners can save money, learn news ways to live and help local towns become more resilient with regards to water, energy and waste initiatives.

She will be helping out as a steward for a property in Juniper Walk, Shoreham on Sunday morning and is looking forward to visiting some of the other properties on the Saturday.

Today and for the rest of the week, Russell is on hand offering free advice at the Ideal Home Show at Olympia, London as part of the show's Renovation Advice Hub.

Already this morning, he has been asked about three extensions, two loft conversions, and a 4 bedroom new build in this Scottish highlands.
