All of us have probably had a clogged sink, shower or bath - this can be down to food, debris, hair - all sorts! To clear blocked sinks you can use any of the following:
- A plunger: fill the sink/bath so that when you're plunging the water has covered the plunger when it's over the drain hole. Next, use a gentle pumping action to dislodge the blockage.

- A homemade saline solution: Add a couple of tablespoons of salt into water, and pour it down the plughole. After around 30 minutes, pour boiling water down the sink to wash down the solution.

- Soda Crystals - dissolve half a cup (or more depending on outlet) in boiling water, pour down the drain and wait for the blockage to clear. Mix with white vinegar instead of water if you need a stronger solution (do this over the sink, as the soda crystals will bubble up when vinegar is added) **THIS ALSO HELPS WITH SMELLY DRAINS**

- Baking Soda - Add two teaspoons of baking soda to a cup of white vinegar (over the sink) then pour the mixture down the plug hole. Wait until you hear the soda and vinegar mix fizzing then follow it up with a kettle full of boiling water.

Make sure to take care when doing any of these!
