We’ve been incredibly busy lately, so feedback like this is always really appreciated.

You’re probably all sick of seeing my face popping up everywhere locally by now… so I thought it was about time a few of the team got a mention instead 😄

We often share the finished projects once everything’s looking clean, tidy and completed, but there’s a huge amount of hard work that goes into getting to that stage.

Rain, mud, freezing mornings, tight spaces, long days and plenty of problem solving along the way… and these guys just crack on with it.

Every project takes proper teamwork and everyone plays a massive part in making things happen.

So this post is just a little appreciation post for some of the people behind the scenes who help turn all the plans into finished results.

Same kitchen footprint. Completely different feel.

This project is a really good example of how much difference updated finishes, colours, lighting and storage can make without needing to completely change the layout.

The whole space now feels brighter, more modern and far more open while still working within the original room.

Really pleased with how this one turned out.

This bathroom has a secret… swipe through and see if you can spot it (revealed on the final slide).

One thing most bathrooms need is storage… but that doesn’t always mean it has to be on show.

Sometimes you’ve got a really clear vision for how you want the room to look, and bulky units or visible shelving just don’t fit the style of the space.

That’s why solutions like this work so well. Everything still has its place, but the room keeps that clean, calm and stylish finish without feeling cluttered.

The clients were really pleased with how this turned out and honestly, so were we.

Little details like this can make such a difference to how a bathroom feels day to day.

🚨 Warning – It’s frighteningly easy to get ripped off as a homeowner 🚨

A family friend (in her 80s) had a running overflow from her loft. She did the sensible thing and called out a local plumber.

He told her the hot water cylinder was faulty, quoted her, and replaced it the same day — £1,380 including a new hot water cylinder and a shower pump.

The overflow was still running the next day.

When she called the plumber back to say it was still leaking, they told her “We’re not heating engineers — call British Gas.”

I went round, had a proper look, and within 10 minutes it was obvious the problem was nothing to do with the cylinder. The central heating pump was failing, causing the system to “pump over” from the Feed & Expansion tank. Classic symptom.

She now has an unnecessary new hot water cylinder and pump, and the original fault is still there.

The worst of it is that she has an active heating maintenance service plan with her energy supplier. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Under the Consumer Rights Act this is a clear case of a service not carried out with reasonable care and skill. We’ve sent a formal letter asking for the labour portion refunded.

The lesson?

Even seemingly straightforward jobs can be misdiagnosed if the tradesperson isn’t properly experienced. Older people are especially vulnerable.
✅ Always get a second opinion if the first fix doesn’t solve the problem.
✅ Ask questions — “What exactly is causing it?” “Could it be something else?”
✅ If in doubt, call someone you trust.
We see this far too often. Proper diagnosis costs nothing extra when you use the right person from the start.

A bathroom doesn’t have to follow the “all white” rule.

You can go bold, add texture, mix materials and create something that feels unique to your home.

This project was all about giving the room a modern, luxury feel while still being practical for everyday use. A space that feels good to walk into first thing in the morning and just as good to wind down in at the end of the day.

That’s usually the goal with any renovation. Not just making it look nice, but making it feel right.
