Found another one from the River Nar job.
Glad we had a crane to load Arco's forwader. The usual hand loading techniques dont work on this bent and knotty stuff, and some was pretty big. Unloading on the riverbank was a bit easier but often needed two people.

Return trip from the first video, demonstrating the interesting audio feature of the Doug Joiner combi forwarder when travelling empty over tussocky fen.
It was the ideal tool for the job. Light weight; low ground pressure tyres; scandi shafts easy to drop for each loading and unloading (which was necessary because the nature of the timber meant lots of climbing between the wheels); machine available for loading; a team for unloading. Found its niche at last!
