Restorex were privileged to be appointed to deliver extensive conservation repairs, structural alterations and refurbishment works to 12 & 13 Charlotte Square β€” a prominent pair of Class B listed buildings situated within the heart of Edinburgh’s historic New Town.

The project demanded a carefully coordinated restoration programme that balanced the preservation of the buildings’ architectural character with the practical requirements of budget, programme delivery and stakeholder management.

Works included extensive masonry repairs, roof reconstruction and re-slating, replacement architectural lead work, specialist metalwork restoration, timber repairs, lightning protection installation and the full refurbishment and decoration of windows, doors and rainwater goods.

Delivered successfully on time and within budget, the project revitalised these historic properties while safeguarding their heritage significance for generations to come.

The result is a restored landmark that continues to contribute to the architectural legacy of one of Edinburgh’s most iconic squares.
