This time, he’s on site in Edinburgh with Liam carrying out an EICR and talking us through why they’re so important.

For landlords, it’s about making sure your property is compliant. For residents, it’s about knowing the electrics in the property are safe and being properly looked after.

Not the most glamorous job on site, perhaps, but definitely an important one.

The client for this one? Ourselves.

Back in August, we gave our own space a long o-verdue update. The reception was refreshed, the layout reconsidered, and new lighting and furniture brought in, with a bit of MRE green naturally making an appearance. And because everyone has to work here, the whole team got a say too.

The result? A smarter, more welcoming space for the team and everyone who comes through the door.

We spend plenty of time improving other people’s properties. It was probably about time we got round to our own.

Another visit to the Roseburn Bar, and another milestone ticked off. ✅

The gents’ toilets were officially back in action over the weekend, with a few final finishing touches today. Next up: the ladies.

Mya and Joanna popped in to see the progress for themselves and were shocked by the scale of the space in real life!

It also sparked a question we’re now very curious to know the answer to…

How many metres of wet-wall have we actually used this year?! 😂

Spotted in Murrayfield 👀

The MRE van has been parked up outside Roseburn Bar this past two weeks as the team get stuck into this project.

We’re fully reconfiguring the gents’ and ladies’ toilets, including new wet wall and flooring, relocating the urinals and adding extra cubicles in the gents’.

You might have caught a sneak peek over on their page already, but we’re looking forward to sharing the finished result with you very soon...

September was mostly about the bathrooms at MRE - both commercial and domestic! And from small makeovers to full renovations, there’s no space overlooked.

Designing a bathroom that works for the client's needs is important; from the aesthetics to the practicalities, MRE are experienced and passionate. We know the importance of a bath for families with small children, and we know just how vital an en-suite is by the time you have a teenager at home!
