A fantastic way to finish the week, leaving the project in a great position and ready to hit the ground running on Monday.

Weather-wise, it’s been a crazy week — I’ve had my jacket on and off more times than I care to remember!

At White Elm Joinery & Construction, we believe the work you don’t see should be held to exactly the same standard as the work you do see. We take pride in every detail, with tradesmen who do things properly through pride in their craft and a commitment to quality.

This week, we’ve seamlessly tied the new floor joists into the existing house, creating the structure that will eventually support the new underfloor heating system.

Excellent progress on site so far. Foundations, setting out, and demolition works are now complete, with the structural steelwork installed and floor joists currently being fitted by our joinery team.

A strong start to what will be an outstanding family home. We’re looking forward to driving the project forward and delivering a fantastic finished product for our client.

Another attic extension and extensive renovation moving along nicely. This is a large project involving a full new roof and a complete transformation of the property.

The architects have done a fantastic job maximising the space, creating 2 new bedrooms with amazing storage and impressive high-pitched ceilings.

There will also be a quirky bathroom featuring sloped ceilings, a sliding door, and Fakro rooflights to bring in plenty of natural light.

We can’t wait to show you this one on completion as we think it’s going to look incredible.

The roofers definitely have their work cut out with all the different angles and pitches, but they’re doing a fantastic job bringing it all together.

Work is progressing well on our recent attic conversion. What was once a dark space filled with storage has been transformed into two bedrooms, an en-suite, and integrated storage within the eaves.

In addition to the attic work, we have removed a downstairs wall and are tasked with fitting a new kitchen and windows. We have worked closely with our fantastic clients to create a wonderful space for them and their young family.

This extension looks absolutely stunning — the vaulted ceiling with those exposed timber beams gives it such warmth and character while still feeling clean and modern.

The natural light pouring in from the skylights and that large glazed door makes the whole space feel bright and airy, and the herringbone floor adds a real touch of class. The contrast between the dark grey island and the light worktop is sharp and contemporary too.
