Did you know Artex was once a source of asbestos?

Artex, Marblecoat and Newtex were all trade names for the 'textured coating', which used to be asbestos-containing and was used on ceilings as well as walls. These asbestos products were used internally and externally on properties until 1984. They are still used today, but not with asbestos.

We are regularly called on to survey and if required safely remove Artex found on the walls & ceilings of residential homes and commercial properties like this recently completed job in Edinburgh's West end.
