We got the renovations started today. A lot of lawns have struggled with the dry spell we had in July and also a buildup of thatch throughout the year. We have limited availability, so book in fast.

A small turfing job we completed in Tranent a couple of weeks ago. As normal, we gave it its first cut and made sure things were as they should be.

Sometimes you just need to start from scratch. I forgot to get a "before" picture, but it was full of coarse grasses and mare's tail (a nightmare of a w**d), so we just w**d-killed it all off, scarified the life out of it, top-dressed, and overseeded. Fast forward four weeks, and we've got a brand new lawn at about a quarter of the price it would be to rip up and re-turf.
