Not every day you’re asked to paint a 150 year old oak door 🫣 lots of work to get the hundreds of layers of varnish off, but worth it in the end. Miranol in Wine Dark. Filled using wood fillers.

Front door glow up for a regular client in Edinburgh this week. Lots of work to put it back to its former glory with a brush finish. I’ll post the process another time! Stay tuned for the next one, she’s a beauty!!

8 hours to transform this door ready for sale in Edinburgh’s New Town. Used a combination of Tikkurila Miranol and Repair Care to make sure it could be completed on time. Nice new mouldings to give it that original look. 👨🏻‍🎨🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
