Got a call out to find a problem with kitchen sockets that an apparent ‘electrician’ couldn’t find.

Turns out it was someone from my old college class who tried to resolve the issue by bypassing the RCD with 2.5mm tails!

Issue found and turned out to be a perished cable under the kitchen units which posed a fire risk along with his apparent ‘fix’ as shown in picture🫣🔥
