Our last working week before welcoming our baby boy..💙 I thought I’d create a post to highlight some dates & changes coming up for our business & clients!

📌We will be switching off from the 10th-26th of July.
This time will be spent birthing, recovering, bonding & enjoying family time... meaning no socials, emails, quotes, jobs🫢

📌Ziggy will be back working on jobs part time
Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays from the 27th of July until the 30th of August.

📌All smaller bookings & enquiries for July & August are welcome! Any projects quoted over 3 days can be scheduled in from the 31st of August.

📌Although we usually do quotations & colour consultations together, ziggy has been & will continue to do these solo for the time being. I (Hannah) will continue focussing on bookings, client communication & admin from home 🏠📲🎨

We really appreciate all our clients & friends online who have supported us through our pregnancy journey!
We’ve been super lucky meeting such kind people along the way & we are very grateful 🙏🏽 ✨

🎁 Loaaads of giveaways happening at the moment, but let’s chat about giving back.. a few months ago we decided we wanted to help in some way with homelessness, which was when we learned about a charity based in our city called “Fresh Start”.

📍If you’re not based in Edinburgh, maybe it’s something you could start exploring!

A lot of the properties given to homeless people are unfurnished and poorly decorated (to say the least).
Fresh start help with the essentials of getting started, providing packages with essential items such as white goods, duvets, cooking equipment, towels, curtains, etc. Fresh rooms, also a part of this charity, help turn houses into homes by providing redecoration of 2 rooms.

We are getting involved by volunteering our services as decorators starting January 2026! Our page is full of Edinburgh DIYers & professional decorators so this is our call out to get more people involved & make more people aware! We are hoping that maybe we can get more people involved 🫶🏽 *you can volunteer as a one off OR regularly, there are also lots of other ways to volunteer not just decorating… all services listed below rely on volunteers so if you can, get involved!*

🌟Not only do they help people get started in their homes, they also offer:

-English Classes
-Cooking & Lifestyle Classes
-Community Gardens (socialise & learn to grow food)
-Open kitchens for anyone 2x every week
-Affordable Food Pantry

We were OVERWHELMED looking around their site learning about how much they do, we’ve been in hardships ourselves & come from families who could’ve done with knowing about fresh start - my (Hannah’s) dad couldn’t speak any english when he first moved to Scotland! Charities like this are genuinely worth shouting about so please spread the word & pass this post onto anyone who might benefit 🙏🏽❤️
