Hello folks.
I am writing this post to touch base with everyone, to make things very clear regarding the situation with E L Landscapes.
Liam and I worked together for a period of time. In the beginning it was all me, he turned up and worked, everything was going great.
Liam then started using my work to build his page up and bring in enquiries. With his page being landscaping and mine being gardening. He was then getting more enquiries than me. Didnāt bother me. We were working together and I was believing what he was telling me.
After a period of time, I started seeing the cracks appear. I was questioning his word and it caused tension between us.
Argued a lot about wages as every one of his jobs started with x amount then by end of job there was less.
On one of his jobs, a small fence repair. He told me there was only Ā£150 labour on the job. However when we finished his customer said āwhat was it Liam Iām due Ā£450ā.
Alarm bells started ringing instantly, I questioned him about this and again he spun together some lie that I believed.
We worked our socks off, putting out top quality work, our diary was very busy between us both. Liam then had an injury causing issues, meaning we fell behind schedule, then I hurt my back and it went from bad to worse regarding our times. It was at this point I decided to call it a day working with him.
I have never taken money off any my customers and not done the work, NEVER!! Yes I might have had some complications along the way but thatās part & parcel. I always communicated with my customers telling them the TRUTH!! Never stole anyoneās money!!
What he was doing with his customers was his doing, nothing to do with me!!
I had no clue that he was taking deposits when we couldnāt get in to do the work.
We separated in JULY!! The last job I done for him, I was told wages for myself was Ā£1200. The job was completed and never got paid. Gave me bu****it excuses over and over. I have received Ā£350 from him since July.
I am nothing to do with this horrible situation, please do not think for a second that I am part of his greed and theft!!
He was once one of my best friends, huge part of my life as well as my family. He has took advantage of me, took me for a fool. Used my van and my tools all this time, never bought any of his own even though he said he was going to. He lied and lied and better lied every other week. And now this has all come out itās all making sense as to why I felt the way I did.
I am a victim of his actions too. And I am truly sorry he has managed to con people out of their hard earned money.
This is his doing and his alone!!
