The Edinburgh Society of Model Engineers (ESME) was founded in 1894 and, as far as we know, has the distinction of being the oldest model engineering club in the world.

Thank you to all our visitors who came along on the 4th of May for our first open day of the year. It really is great to see all our hard work paying off with all the smiling faces.

A reminder that our next open day is Sunday the 15th of June which coincides with fathers day so perhaps a visit to the railway could make a good day out.

Good evening all. Reminder reminder. Next Sunday the 4th of May marks the begining of our open season.

Dates for subsequent days are on the image below. As are ticket prices.

This year sees the introduction of a separate track meaning you have the choice of two different tracks to travel on. One loop crosses the bridge and pond. The other track goes through our tunnel and winds it's way around the perimeter of the site giving wide open views of the local area including the forth bridges.

We look forward to seeing you all for a good fun day out for all the family.

Good evening to all our followers, ESME is back with another selection of open dates for the 2025 season. Please see the attached flyer images for information. Dates are the 4th of May, 15th of June, 9th and 10th of August and the 15th of September.

We hope you see you visiting the railway through 2025.
