One of the best parts of working on architect-led homes is the collaboration involved along the way.

Projects like this only come together through the collective effort of skilled people who genuinely care about detail, craftsmanship and the finished atmosphere of a space.

A lovely one to deliver alongside , whose kitchen brought so much personality into the home.

Bathrooms don’t need to feel sterile.

One thing we loved about this scheme was its warmth: layered materials, softer tones and a more residential feel, rather than the cold, overly clinical approach often associated with bathrooms.

A lovely project to bring to life alongside , where every detail felt considered and cohesive from the outset.

We’ll never get tired of original ceiling roses.

Many of the ones we encounter across Edinburgh’s period homes have been painted over repeatedly for decades, slowly losing the sharpness and detail that made them special in the first place. Others have been damaged or removed entirely over time.

When restoration isn’t possible, we often replicate them by taking casts from neighbouring properties of the same period, helping preserve the original character and proportions of the building as authentically as possible.

Finishing the week by signing off on a project in Edinburgh’s New Town.

A long time in the making with a long-term client of ours and a reminder of how relationships naturally evolve over time in this industry. We’re fortunate to often work with clients across multiple homes, while also being introduced to their family and friends along the way.

Referrals remain one of our greatest sources of work and something we’re incredibly proud of after more than two decades in business since 2005.

More from this project to come soon.

We’re making a conscious effort to share more completed projects, even before the final photography arrives.

There’s often a long gap between handover and professional imagery, as clients move in and spaces settle properly. So here’s a quick snapshot taken just after our final clean of this beautiful Stockbridge home. More photography to come later this year.

It’s also why we’ve introduced a new “What We’re Currently Working On” section on our website. Many projects take one or even two years to fully come to life and we realised our portfolio alone didn’t always reflect how active we really are.

Behind the scenes, we’re busier than ever across Edinburgh and the Lothians, with a number of architect-led homes currently underway.

We’re now booking from July onwards, with a small number of project spaces remaining for 2026.

A well-designed kitchen goes beyond finishes. It’s about how the space works day to day: storage tailored to you, considered layouts and details that make living easier.

Many of these outcomes have been made possible through our close, long-term collaboration with . Their handcrafted kitchens and interiors are truly bespoke: designed, made and installed for each individual client with a deep respect for heritage and craft.

Here’s our round-up of 5 kitchen luxuries you won’t regret adding:

1. A spacious pantry for dry goods. Not multiple cupboards, but one generous, well-organised space.
2. A tap at the hob for filling pots. Once you have it, there’s no going back.
3. Comfortable, properly designed island seating. Not cramped or considered as an afterthought.
4. Drawers designed around what you own. No wasted space, no compromise.
5. And finally, for pet owners, why not bring your pet into the design? A built-in bed and feeding station keeps things tidy and ensures they claim their spot at the heart of the home.

Design is always a collaboration.

We’re genuinely interested in our clients’ tastes, how they live and the details that matter to them. Every project is shaped through close dialogue with both client and design team, allowing personality and intent to come through in a considered way.

It’s this shared process that leads to spaces that feel individual, resolved and built to last.

One of the most significant changes on this project at Buckingham Terrace was opening up the wall between the living and dining rooms, allowing the spaces to flow naturally into one another rather than relying on the central hallway for circulation.

Often, it’s the smallest interventions that make the greatest difference.

This ensuite was designed by for our Buckingham Terrace project, and it’s a great example of what can happen when interior design and construction work closely together.

Collaborating with the design team from an early stage allowed us to fully understand the scheme and deliver it exactly as envisioned, from the spatial layout and concealed elements to the final material palette.

Large-format porcelain tiles with a marble finish create a calm, continuous surface with minimal grout lines, while reeded mouldings echo the texture of the reeded glass used in the window and shower screens. The WC is discreetly tucked away behind the shower screens, allowing the bath and shower to take centre stage.

Projects like this show the value of bringing together a strong design team and an experienced construction partner. When both are aligned from the outset, the result is a space that feels resolved, refined and carefully executed.
