I’ve just finished a floor in one of the new build houses in Edwards Wynd, Gilmerton. These houses were built a few years ago on the Drum Estate next to Candlemakers Park.
The lovely clients had a bad leak in the Utility Room & decided to tile the floor. The concrete floor was like most floors in new builds I see today, where there were a couple of cracks in the concrete. This would normally require me to put down an anti fracture or de-coupling mat prior to installing the tiles…….but those days are gone, thanks to the new AF Max rubber tile adhesive from BAL Tiling. AF Max is unique rubber-crumb, high-yield anti-fracture tile adhesive that performs as an uncoupling and fixing system in one – removing the need for uncoupling mats on problematic floors like this one.
Tiles were grouted with Mapei UK Ltd medium grey.
