insurance repair ✅

Following damage caused by a supermarket delivery van, all cast iron gutters were carefully removed, fully refurbished and reinstalled. Brackets were adjusted and re-aligned to ensure correct falls and proper water flow throughout.

All joints were re-sealed using traditional gutter putty and new fixing bolts where required. The full cast iron system was then prepared and repainted in black metal gloss for a clean, traditional finish in keeping with the property.

We also carry out insurance work — from storm damage and impact repairs to full roof and guttering claims.

Another roof transformation nearing completion in Edinburgh.

This flat roof has been fully upgraded with 150mm built-up insulation and finished with Alwitra VSK membrane system, creating a durable and energy-efficient roof built to last.

All rooflights are now installed and the roof fully sealed — just the lead cover flashings, perimeter trims and pipe penetrations left to finish the final detailing.

A huge improvement on the original roof and a high-performance system that will protect the property for decades.

🔨 Velux Flashing Replacement

The old flashing around this Velux had failed and was starting to let water in. We stripped back the tiles, removed the worn flashings and installed a brand new Velux flashing kit to make the window fully watertight again.

All tiles reinstated and everything left neat and secure. Another roof protected. ✅

This project originally started as basically a new roof added onto existing, alterations and a new dormer on what was once a modest bungalow, but as the work progressed the roof underwent major structural changes carried out by the joiners, completely reshaping the property.

With the scale of the alterations, it made sense to carry out a full strip and re-slate to ensure the roof matched the new structure.

The roof was rebuilt and finished with new Spanish slates, along with an Alwitra membrane system to the flat roof section for long-term durability.

The joinery work and new roof structure was was second to none and carried out by joinery. The finished result has completely transformed the look of the house.

A huge improvement and a roof built to last for many years to come.
