I hope you are well and safe during this difficult time.
This week I have been ensuring current building projects are closed down safely and securely and doing everything I can to assist those clients who find themselves living with unfinished building work.
I am taking all steps necessary to continue to work safely on projects and as I have been working from a home office for a number of years now, self-isolation' has become a kind of norm for me. However, in compliance with government guidelines, I have ceased all face to face meetings and consultations in favour of digital (FaceTime) meetings.
I had a FaceTime meeting this morning with my client for the project pictured. This property is a ground floor flat in Joppa where the rear of the flat comprises a number of small rooms, which doesn't suit the owner's life style. 2B Architects proposal opens up this area into a more fluid, flexible space and creates views from the kitchen into a courtyard garden.
The FaceTime meeting was really productive and exceeded my expectations; I emailed the drawing in advance of the meeting to allow my client time to view the proposal. She commented that having the 'before and after' plans side by side was really helpful and the 3D views were a great visual aid.
So, another happy client - we move onto the next stage of the design process.
I realise this is going to be a very difficult time for a lot of people but it could also be an opportune time to think about planning for when we finally emerge from this crisis.
If you, or someone you know, is thinking about extending or remodelling their property but isn't sure how to go about it, then I would be happy to arrange a FaceTime consultation to see how I might help you with your particular problem.
In the meantime, please stay safe.
