Ever walked about Midlothian no knowing there’s a spooky underground secret right under yer feet? 😏

Gilmerton Cove is a series of hand-carved sandstone chambers hidden beneath Gilmerton — dug out hundreds of years ago with nae power tools, nae machinery… just grit and graft.
Nobody really knows what it was for.
Some say workshops.
Some say secret meetings.
Others swear blind the devil helped carve it himself 👀🔥
Dark. Cold. Creepy in the best way.
The kind of place where your mind starts playing tricks and you’re suddenly walking a bit faster than usual…
Proper local legend stuff.
And most folk still haven’t got a clue it exists.
