This is very much in line with the goals of the Forest Trust, to provide ways for people to support the goals of rewilding, carbon capture and maintenance of biodiversity, whether that's financially or as volunteer stewards.

Trees aren’t the environmental panacea that the politicians might have people believe – even if they do make for great photo opportunities – but we do need more of them. Efforts to expand tree cover are underway across the world and the UK will benefit from contributing its share. Hitting the right balance – some commercial forestry, lots of new native woodland and millions of scattered trees – will be key to maximising the benefits they bring.

Goals!!

Based on the goals of: the removal of carbon from the atmosphere at the same time at the same time as improving biodiversity in areas the organisation works. That the Forest Trust can contribute to carbon capture through sustainable forestry business work in the sale of timber to construction and other businesses. That the reforesting and rewilding work the Forest Trust undertakes can include land reclaimed for woodlands established legally as permanently protected for the purposes of the trust.

The organisation is not as yet a formal Trust established legally, but this is the aim, to allow interested parties to contribute skills and knowledge to further the goals of the trust. A reliable partner for investors to carbon offset with, given the permanent status that the reforested and rewilded land will have.
