Part 1 of the latest slating job completed 🔨

The roof was nail sick and the outside wood was badly rotten. We replaced the out riggers along with the barge board with Douglas fir that was made up by a local joiner.
Local painter brought in for coating the wood 🖌
The roof was slated in cupa heavy 3 Spanish slates, code 5 valleys and flashings along with a zink ridge. .

A lead gutter we completed at the start of the month, the previous gutter had been patched all over and was cracked, so we stripped out the old lead patched some rotten boards of sarken & put down A1F paper for the lead. We used code 5 for the valley and skirts and code 7 for the back gutters.

A flat roof in Dundee was causing a lot of damp patches in the rooms and on inspection the roof had been previously been patched. The felt was cracking, and the sealer that was used to patch had deteriorated allowing water through the felt. So we ripped up all the old felt and insulation as it was soaking, replaced with new insulation and a fibreglass roof. 👷🏼‍♂️🔨🔨
