Great to see Finn and Dan being promoted by DYW Moray and talking about how and why they got into the tree surgery world. This video was taken at Dipple Farm for a forestry day hosted by James Jones. It’s become an annual fixture in our calendar to help, along side other companies, show off part of our industry to local school children and show them a career they potentially haven’t thought about before.

With 1 squad in Nairn pruning trees recently surveyed we had another working in Moray removing stumps.

Removing those awkward stumps in borders will create more useable space for plants, and protect machinery by clearing obstacles in the lawn.

We have recently upgraded our stump grinder and our new Bandit SG40IH makes light work of even the largest stumps. Get in touch to find out.

We had our first annual company training day. We started in the classroom, bringing ourselves up to date with new company and industrial policies, improved our knowledge on felling and pruning techniques.

We then had Jane from Moray Lifesigns with her group of casualties mocking up some fake arb injuries for us to refresh our knowledge.

Zoe from Jackdaw Forest School carry out some team building exercises to finish our learning.

And finally finished off with a BBQ and ice cream.

Huge thank you to our participants and external providers, we had a fabulous time, we look forward to working with you again in the near future.

We’re back on a site for a regular customer of ours in Inverness. There are 3 larch needing to be removed with flat heads and lots to avoid underneath so we hired in the cherry picker to make the job safer and easier.

We helped this Moray property reclaim an area which was covered in stumps. Our new stump grinder had its work cut out. It had 21 stumps in it and we removed them so they can replant with new trees and grass. By grinding the stumps rather than digging them out we are able to recondition the soil and save money for the client by not paying huge fees for green waste at the local recycling centre. We look forward to see how it progresses in a couple of years.

Proud moment yesterday as our apprentice stepped up to fell his first large tree, yes it’s not perfect but it marks the start of improving everyday. This will be a moment he remembers for the rest of his career.
It’s been nearly 25 years since I climbed my first tree and I still remember it like it was yesterday. It was both a terrifying and exhilarating and far from perfect but was a milestone in my journey. We will continue to support each other in this team to improve each day.

Today one of our teams turned this overgrown property into something that can be managed by a gardener for our regular customers in Inverness. Excellent work in very hot conditions.

Huge thank you to Max at fieldandforestmachinery and Dean at globalmachinerysolutionsltd for getting our new banditchippers SG40H stump grinder, and Marco at Arblease - Finance & Sales Marketplace for setting up the finance for it. It’s great to swap our old machine we had through Field and Forest for the first SG40H in the country. We look forward to using it on all our stump removal jobs, and if the old one was anything to go by this will be a fabulous tool. It went straight to site and turned a customers old hedge stumps into a useable part of their garden.

We are delighted to be supporting Elgin City FC Women for another 3 years. They have had an amazing 3 seasons so far, being promoted twice. We can’t wait to see how they get on in their new division next season, we’re sure they’ll smash it!
