Congratulations to our apprentice Kasper Kwolik, who received the Darroch & Allan Shield for Best Theoretical Joiner - 2nd year at UHI Moray’s Construction Prize Giving Ceremony 2026.

Supporting apprentices and recognising their achievements is vital to building the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

Summer may be over, but darker nights have their own way of putting on a show 🤩💫

Taken above one of our completed builds back in January, the Northern Lights created a stunning backdrop - made even better by the warm glow from the full-height gable glazing below.

🏗️ **WE’RE HIRING – SITE AGENT / FOREMAN**

Due to continued growth, Russell Construction are looking for an experienced Site Agent / Foreman to join our team.

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in joinery, construction or general building who is organised, proactive and confident taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of construction projects.

You may already be a Site Agent, Site Supervisor or Foreman

Alternatively, you might be an experienced joiner or tradesperson thinking about hanging up the tools, but want to stay in the construction industry and put your years of practical experience to good use.

**The role will include:**
• Managing and coordinating site teams and subcontractors
• Planning labour, materials and day-to-day works
• Monitoring progress, quality and programme
• Managing site health & safety
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and management
• Taking responsibility for resolving day-to-day site issues

For the right person, we can provide support and training to help with the transition into site management.

A very special self-build - now featured in Grand Designs Magazine! 🤍

This stunning contemporary Scottish longhouse was Tony and Nicola’s own self-build project, and we’re incredibly proud to have played a part in bringing it to life.

Inspired by traditional Scottish architecture, the finished home combines bold contemporary design with warmth, craftsmanship and impressive energy efficiency.

A few of the highlights:

🏡 Four bedrooms across 280 sqm
🪟 A spectacular full-height glazed gable
🖤 Black Cedral cladding paired with pale sandstone
🌿 Vaulted interiors designed around the garden views
🌡️ Highly insulated construction and energy-efficient technology
🐾 And even a dedicated dog shower!
