This week we have been installing a large Rubberbond Fleeceback flat roof on a large extension near Malton. N Yorks. Photos to follow.

We've also been working on Notre Dame High School in Sheffield installing new Velux windows into an existing slate roof.
Also at the Girls High school in Sheffield re-roofing large roofs with plain tiles.

August is full of school jobs as all schools want to carry out the works in the summer holidays.

Busy, busy, busy!!

This week we have been carrying out some temporary repairs to a large Grade 1 listed building at St.Peters School, Clifton, York. (The school of Guy Fawkes )

A Grade 1 listed building means "`The site is of exceptional national, architectural or historical importance." Therefore it is extremely rare and valuable.

As a temporary solution, new lead and new slates have been installed to prevent further water ingress for the next few months, until such time when a full replacement roof can be carried out using the original materials, where possible and also where feasible!!!.
Obviously new additional materials will be required to replace all the damaged and un-usable materials, but these will be sourced to match the orginal roof coverings. (Unlike the new slates that have been installed as a temporay measure. These are quite obviously not a good match, but they will keep the roof watertight for the next few months temporarily.)

The new roof is being installed starting next summer in 2023.

It's a beautiful building and we are lucky and proud to be qualified to work on a building with all of this heritage!

New roof completed on P Block for St Peters School, Clifton, York.

All works completed within a 3 week slot during the Easter holidays!

Works included installing new fascias and gutters along with 350 square metres of torch on underlay and torch on cap sheet.

Not posted anything for a while as we have been so very very busy.

Anyway while the kids are on Easter holidays we are currently working on a 350 square metre flat roof replacement at St Peters School, Bootham, York.

Excellent job for a regular client. We will update more photos once it's completed next week.

Another Grade 2 listed property to re-roof in York using some beautiful Welsh slates.

Due to commence on the 4th January after the Christmas break.

Not posted for a while as we have been flat out from contract to contract, trying to complete works for our clients before Christmas.

Anyway...Photos of a before and after installation on Fulford Road, Fulford, York, of 2 new Conservation style Velux windows on the rear of this old property.

Another new roof completed on a property in Copmanthorpe, York.

All the old concrete tiles removed and we installed new Condron DR tiles to all roofs.

All new code 5 leadwork installed to all new valleys etc.

Sorry not posted for a while. We have just been extremely busy.

Heres a couple of beautiful roofs on a house and large garages in Warthill, Ryedale that we have recently completed using " SSQ Del Carmen Ultra" Spanish slates.
They are a very expensive slate, but also fantastic slate to work with and they look amazing.

We also removed the old bitumen flat roofs and replaced them with new code 6 lead and mop stick rolls for aesthetics.

Also we replaced all soffits and fascias with new UPVC in anthracite grey colour and we replaced all the old plastic gutters with new "Alumasc" Steel gutters and downpipes in black.

Finished off with 400mm of loft insulation to well exceed the minimum 270mm legally required for building regulations.

All works self certified for building regulation compliance through the "NFRC Competent Person" scheme. This is standard for us on new replacement roofs.

This project was a real pleasure to complete and by far the best roof in this very pretty village, near York.

True praise has to go to our team, their work is un-rivalled and we are proud and privileged to have such talented employees.

Re-roof completed on this lovely town house in York.

All the old damaged slates removed and replaced with new Spanish Domiz slates.

Replacement flat roofs to the dormers on the rear in a single ply system, along with new cladding in anthracite grey colour.

All the lead was fully replaced with new, including to the front bay window.

The front dormer timber work was also fully replaced by our joinery team, making it look exactly as it did originally.

All insulation upgraded to legally comply to current building regulations.

Completion of a beautiful Grade II listed property in Howsham, Ryedale.

The property has been fully re-roofed using handmade reclaimed pan tiles.

Forget the rest and employ the best!
