We hope this helps you as there are lots of flood warnings out there today, so remember make a flood plan and stay safe don’t put your life at risk. You can repair/ replace damaged things but you can’t replace you!

Move valuables to a safe height ideally upstairs as flood water can tip tables / chairs etc over.

Sand bags do not stop water. At best they filter a bit of muck but that’s all. As a quick fix you are better with a piece of something solid like plywood or thick plastic cut to your door / window opening, screw it into place and seal with mastic ( it’s easier to clean a door frame than your whole property)
Seal other openings like air bricks again with something solid like plywood and mastic.

Even doing this water may still get in so get pumps if you can. We cannot stress the use of these enough. If you can keep flood water as low as possible in your property it will mitigate the amount of damage caused making it quicker and easier to clean up afterwards.

Water is arguably the most damaging thing on the planet and it is impossible to guarantee you will not get water in your property. But very often with the correct products and installation it can be kept to a minimum.

There are lots of ways to try prevent water getting into your property such as flood barriers, flood gates, flood doors, automatic air bricks, non return valves for drains and much more, probably most importantly pumping systems to keep the water level as low as possible. These must be done as part of a larger plan as missing one area will still leave the property at risk. Remember water finds the smallest of holes and even comes through walls and concrete floors if it is around for long enough.

If these are correctly installed and deployed they will mitigate damage to your property.

We manufacture timber flood doors and gates along with a wide range of other products. We need a team player who is prepared to work away at times. We make everything from scratch so an understanding of machines is helpful but not essential as training will be given.

Fitter/semi skilled person
We need someone who is useful with there hands to help install our Flood barriers, Flood gates and much more. Must be prepared to work away as we cover the whole of the uk. Training will be given.

Office assistant
Must be a good communicator as you will be required to deal with customers from domestic to councils and staff. Wide range of tasks from sales through to invoicing and sign off. Training will be given.
