A completed new build house in Binsted, Nr Alton, Hampshire.

The brief on this project was to obtain planning permission for a 3 bedroom property on a large and disused part of the client’s garden.

Once planning permission had been obtained, the land was sold and the property has since been built and is now on the market.

The property boasts an open-plan kitchen dining room, separate living room, entrance hall, 3 well-proportioned bedrooms, neat rear garden and a spacious driveway and parking.

The width of the plot meant that we needed to focus on providing a practical living space while ensuring good access to outside spaces.

Take a look at pictures taken during our recent site visit to one of our Havant projects, which is progressing nicely on-site.

The works include a single-storey rear extension and a part two-storey extension.

The newly formed open-plan area on the ground floor will accommodate an expansive kitchen, dining, and garden room, along with a utility space and a secondary access point to the property.

This allows the removal of any dirty/wet clothing before entering the habitable areas of the property.

The newly created open-plan space to the rear will provide stunning views of the large, landscaped garden and offer our clients a great entertaining space.

On the first floor, the client's existing master bedroom will now benefit from a walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite.

JB Architects was also tasked with completing a complex build over agreement with Southern Water, which was approved.

JB Architects was appointed to obtain approval for the extension project's Planning and Building Regulations.

Pictures taken during a recent site visit to our whole-house renovation and rear single-storey and first-floor extension project in Cowplain.

The existing bungalow has been renovated throughout, with four new bedrooms and a family bathroom on the newly created first floor.

At the ground floor level, the existing floor plan has been renovated throughout, forming a guest bedroom and a home office area, with the open-plan single-storey rear extension allowing for an open-plan kitchen and garden room to be formed.

JB Architecture was appointed to obtain approval for the Planning and Building Regulation stages of the extension project.

JB Architecture is proud to announce that a full planning application has been submitted on behalf of The Cowplain School for the er****on of a new school theatre building and changing rooms to serve the adjacent sports facilities.

The development also includes associated landscaping, planting, and ancillary works.

The proposal seeks to enhance the school’s educational and community offer by delivering high-quality, purpose-built facilities that support the curriculum, extracurricular activities, and wider community use.

The theatre building is designed to provide a dedicated performing arts venue, allowing pupils to rehearse and perform in a professional standard environment.

The proposed changing rooms will improve provision for PE and community sport, complementing the recent investment in drainage works to the school’s playing field, which has created grass pitches suitable for football and rugby for the first time. Together, these facilities will provide an enhanced learning and recreational environment for pupils, staff, and residents.

A planning decision is due late 2025, with the aim of works commencing on site during summer 2026.

Pictures taken during our recent site visit to one of our East Wittering projects, which is progressing well on-site.

The multiple dated single-storey attachments have been removed on this project to make way for this stunning and timeless two-storey extension that will blend seamlessly with the existing property through the continuation of the existing form and materials.

The previously hidden entrance door will now be a standout feature amongst the single-storey front extension, which will be framed by a beautiful oak porch.

With its expansive, open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area, as well as large secluded snug and ground-floor studies, this extension and renovation project will be truly transformative for our clients’ needs.

The proposed first-floor works will enable the remodelling of the existing bedroom and bathroom layouts, along with the addition of a generous principal bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite facilities.

Pictures taken during our recent site visit to one of our large first-floor extensions and a complete internal renovation project in Chichester.

Working with the structural engineer, JB Architecture was able to design a lightweight structure that could be constructed off the existing building, thereby maximising habitable space at first-floor level.

Once complete, this property will benefit from two additional bedrooms, utility space, and an open-plan kitchen and dining space to the rear of the property.

JB Architecture was appointed to obtain both planning and building regulation approval for this project.

Working alongside the client’s brief and budget, this project is starting to take shape.
