Another project successfully completed by Mastermac Civils Ltd in London.
Following an initial site survey and trial holes, we identified areas where the existing concrete slab and sub-base were missing or had failed beneath the Tegula paving.
Our works included:
▪️ Carefully lifting and setting aside approximately 60m² of existing Tegula paving for reuse
▪️ Breaking out and renewing collapsed inspection chambers
▪️ Excavating to an overall depth of 415mm
▪️ Installation of geotextile membrane
▪️ 150mm MOT Type 1 sub-base
▪️ 150mm reinforced concrete slab with A142 mesh
▪️ 35mm sand bedding layer
▪️ Relaying the existing Tegula paving and finishing with kiln-dried sand
▪️ Resetting and reinstating the existing gate sensors
All works were completed while managing the access, logistical and operational challenges that come with working in Central London, keeping disruption to a minimum throughout.
A complete ground-up repair, addressing the underlying issues rather than simply repairing what could be seen at surface level.
