We were delighted to support Eversley Parish Council with silt removal at Cross Green Pond, helping rejuvenate a special spot close to our HQ and quarry. A project that’s truly close to our hearts!

☕ Fundraising for Macmillan
Our Reading team raised £125 for Macmillan Cancer Support at last month’s coffee morning. Thank you to everyone who joined in and contributed!

🌳 The Treehouse grand opening
We were proud to support Building for the Future (BFTF) with skips and materials for its new centre. It was wonderful to attend the opening and see the incredible space, including its beautiful Tree of Life centrepiece and sensory room, come to life.

🔥 It only takes one lithium-ion battery to start a devastating fire as we saw first hand when we trialled a new waste shredder at our Eversley recycling centre recently.

A lithium-ion battery exploded with incredible ferocity. Luckily, it was spotted instantly and isolated from the waste pile, but just look at how volatile it was.

Remember: never dispose of items with built-in rechargeable batteries like kids’ toys, vapes, scooters, devices and more, in skips or general waste. Check out our handy online guide on our website to help prevent waste fires.

From site survey to final handover, we offer one complete solution. 🏗️

At Wellesley, Aldershot, we’re demonstrating the benefits of Collard Group’s fully integrated approach to demolition.

Our in-house asbestos specialists, Amiante, have completed a four-week asbestos removal programme across three buildings, paving the way for our demolition team to take over.

The project also achieved an A grade in an unannounced site audit, recognising exceptional standards of safety and site management.
With one contractor and one point of contact our clients benefit from complete control from start to finish.

NEW PROJECT AWARD | BASINGSTOKE 🚧

Collard Group has secured a new demolition and enabling works contract at Chineham Gate, Basingstoke.

Our scope of works includes:

▪️ Full site hoarding
▪️ Internal soft strip
▪️ Demolition works
▪️ Removal of ground floor slabs and foundations

Our team will manage the works from site establishment through to final clearance, safely and efficiently preparing the site for future development.

🚜 £1.5M OF NEW KIT. PART OF OUR CONTINUED INVESTMENT 💪

At Collard, investment in our fleet and plant never stands still.

Every year, we invest around £8 million in specialist vehicles, plant and equipment to ensure we're delivering the highest standards across our operations. This autumn we're pleased to add a further £1.5m worth of new kit to the business.

Our latest investment includes:

✅ New aggregate tippers
✅ Specialist plant lorries

Demolition works are progressing at Hartley House, North Hampshire, where Collard Group is delivering a comprehensive package of demolition and enabling works as Principal Contractor.

From site establishment and service disconnections to asbestos removal, internal soft strip and structural demolition, our team is managing the entire programme, including the removal of all demolition arisings.

Demolition is progressing at our Park Royal project in London, where working alongside railway infrastructure demands meticulous planning, specialist expertise and seamless coordination.

🌱 Making a difference at Sandy Hill Estate!

Last month, we joined forces with VIVID Housing for the Sandy Hill Big Clear Up in Farnham, supporting our social value commitments and helping make a positive difference to the local community.

With support from local residents, community groups and volunteers, we tackled litter, fly tipping and waste build-up across the estate, from local streets and play areas to known litter hotspots.

As part of our support, we provided: two 6-yard skips, a team of employee volunteers and logistical support and waste management services.With over 91% of material diverted into recycling streams and the remainder processed through energy recovery.

The results speak for themselves:
✅ 1.26 tonnes of waste collected via the two skips
♻️ 91.22% of the waste recycled
🚫 0% of skip waste sent to landfill
🛋️ Bulky waste collected

VIVID’s additional van collections helped remove a further 3.56 tonnes of general waste from tenants who were unable to attend, extending the impact of the clear-up even further.

A huge thank you to VIVID Housing, local residents, community groups and our Collard volunteers for coming together to help create a cleaner, more welcoming environment at Sandy Hill.
