Another full solar & battery upgrade completed this week.
We started by removing the existing solar PV system, both from the roof and internally, before replacing it with a modern LONGi + Sigenergy system designed to make much better use of the energy generated on site.
While the existing system was removed, we also took the opportunity to carry out some essential roof maintenance — repairing the leadwork around the chimney and replacing damaged roof tiles before installing the new array.
The new installation includes:

🏠 Leadwork repairs & replacement of damaged roof tiles
⚡ New dedicated renewables distribution board for the PV & battery system

The battery allows excess solar generated during the day to be stored and used later in the evening, helping reduce reliance on the grid and make more use of the energy produced on the roof.
