Another busy and productive day on one of our landscaping projects, beautifully designed by Paul Stevens, who was with us on site conducting the planting works.

It was great to see multiple elements of the scheme coming together at the same time. Our team was busy progressing the decking installation, helping to bring the design vision to life.

A special thank you to Dean Forge Ltd⁠ and Synergy Electrical Services⁠, who joined forces with us to complete the external kitchen installation. Their expertise ensured that all appliances were correctly installed, fully operational, and compliant with current UK regulations, giving our client complete confidence in the finished space.

Successful projects are built on strong partnerships, skilled craftsmanship, and attention to detail. It’s always rewarding to see different trades working together seamlessly to create something exceptional.

We look forward to sharing more progress as this fantastic garden continues to take shape.

A productive team meeting today with the Atlantes Landscapes team, covering some important topics that help us maintain the high standards we set for ourselves.

Our toolbox talk focused on foot protection and the importance of wearing the correct safety footwear at all times. Under UK health and safety legislation, employers and employees have a shared responsibility to ensure suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn whenever risks are present. A good pair of safety boots not only helps us comply with regulations but, more importantly, protects our team from avoidable injuries on site.

We also shared updates to our company bonus scheme, introducing a new KPI-based evaluation system being designed to provide greater transparency, consistency and recognition of individual performance and contribution to the business.

A special congratulations goes to Aaron, our Employee of the Month. Aaron’s commitment, attention to detail and positive attitude have consistently gone above and beyond both our clients’ expectations and our own. His hard work and dedication make him a worthy recipient of this month’s award.

Thank you to the entire team for your continued professionalism, teamwork and commitment to delivering outstanding results. It’s the people behind the business that make the difference every day.

A butterfly and a bee, both busy collecting nectar from the flowers in this garden, are a reminder of how important our outdoor spaces can be for wildlife.

These small but essential pollinators play a vital role in supporting biodiversity, helping plants reproduce and contributing to healthy ecosystems. Without them, many of the plants we enjoy in our gardens and countryside would struggle to thrive.

The encouraging part is that we can all help. Planting nectar-rich flowers, reducing pesticide use, leaving areas a little wilder, and providing water sources can all make a real difference.

Every garden, no matter its size, has the potential to become a valuable refuge for wildlife. By making a few thoughtful choices, we can help create a healthier environment for bees, butterflies, and countless other species.

Together, we can ensure that future generations continue to enjoy the beauty and benefits of a thriving natural world.

Last week we had the pleasure of visiting Trebah Garden, one of the most inspiring gardens in the South West and proudly partnered with the Royal Horticultural Society.

Walking through the valley feels almost like travelling back in time. The giant Dicksonia antarctica were especially astonishing — their impressive heights and prehistoric appearance create a truly unique atmosphere beneath the canopy.

It is also remarkable to reflect on the vision and dedication of the Fox family, whose passion helped create not only Trebah but several other extraordinary gardens that continue to inspire gardeners, landscapers and plant lovers today. Their legacy can still be felt throughout every pathway and planting scheme.

Visits like this remind us how powerful great garden design can be — not only visually, but emotionally and historically as well.

We’re now entering the final construction phases of one of our recent design-and-build projects, and it’s been a rewarding journey bringing this scheme to life.

This site has presented a number of technical challenges that required careful planning and consistent ex*****on. The stonework, in particular, has been a key feature. Achieving a clean, durable finish meant close attention to substrate preparation, correct mortar selection, and precise laying to ensure both structural integrity and visual consistency across varying levels.

Due to the prolonged period of intense rainfall over recent months, we implemented full scaffolding across critical areas of the build. This allowed us to maintain progress while protecting the quality of the workmanship, especially during the more sensitive stages of masonry and jointing. It also ensured safe access across the site as ground conditions became increasingly difficult.

The topography has played a major role in shaping the project. Working across changing gradients required detailed setting out, careful management of drainage, and the integration of retaining elements to create usable, functional spaces while maintaining a natural flow through the landscape.

We’re looking forward to sharing the completed result soon.
