Seems to be the theme of the month here at JMJ - hoggin pathways.

Our team has been working hard up in Taunton carrying out remedial works on a Summerfield Homes site and getting these footpaths finished off and looking the part.

New project underway in Dawlish for Persimmon Homes, working alongside WDY Construction.

We’ll be finishing off the public open spaces and installing around 700 metres of hoggin footpaths across the site.

Good to get started on this one — and good to see the Kubota KX080 out on site. Full steam ahead. 👊

Groundworks Package - Laings Easiform Housing
Replacement, Exeter

We’re proud to be delivering the groundworks package for the redevelopment project with Exeter City Council, supporting the replacement of the existing Laings Easiform housing stock.
This project is being delivered through a collaborative joint venture between JMJ Groundworks Ltd, WDY
Construction Ltd, and Mallins Associates, bringing together specialist delivery and technical expertise to drive the project forward. Our combined scope includes site preparation, excavation, foundation works, and below-ground infrastructure, all carried out with a strong focus on safety, quality, and programme.
From managing existing services and complex ground conditions to delivering robust substructure solutions, the team is working seamlessly to ensure a solid foundation for the development.
This scheme highlights the value of true collaboration, aligning practical construction knowledge with consultancy input to achieve efficient, high-quality results on site.

Good work up in Taunton this week carrying out remedials and installing new gullys on a block paved private road.

Not always the easiest work, but the lads have put a proper shift in and got it done to a high standard.

Big shout out to Darren, Jordan and Chris for their efforts on this one — hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed and great to hear they’ve impressed the client as well. 👊

Progress down at the Teignmouth site installing a temporary footpath to allow residents to safely pass through the site and down to the bottom fields while the S278 works are completed at the top of site.

This one had to be turned around quickly with nesting season approaching, and the lads certainly had their work cut out with the amount of rain we’ve had. The fields were extremely slippery, so a temporary access track had to be created first just to get the stone down to the area so the footpath could be installed.

Fair play to Liam, Paul and Logan for getting this wrapped up and finishing off what Matt and Alan had started last week.

Now it’s onto the top of site to link the footpath through to where the houses are currently being sold and occupied. 👊

Fair play to the lads on this one — they’ve put a proper shift in, working through the rain to keep things moving. Hopefully they’ve enjoyed having a bit of a break from it today.

Site clearance, earthworks, footings and foundations, drainage infrastructure, access roads, retaining works, civil engineering. If it's below ground or sets up what comes next, we do it.

We work across Exeter, Devon and the South West on commercial builds, housing developments, and infrastructure projects. Our team's fully insured, we run to strict QHSE standards, and we handle every phase in-house: one point of contact, no subbing bits out, no surprises halfway through.
