The big toys came out to play today ! We had lots of stumps to grind out and a large sweet chestnut stump to remove .

We had a bit of fun today taking this big sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa) down and taking trophy photos in the sun .
This is what we got up too!

This big old pine was damaged some time ago and needed some attention to reduce the risk of further failure ,so we removed it .We also removed all dead branches which could be a potential hazard of falling onto the driveway.
Was such a lovely day and a beautiful tree to climb
