This isn’t just any old Finlay J-1175.
Built as a prototype back in 2013, this girl is a one-off — a proper heavy hitter. Fitted with parts from its bigger brother, the J-1480 (like the beefed-up toggle assembly), she was built for serious crushing.
Also running bigger hydraulic pumps than a standard 1175, so there’s no slowing her down. The plate might say 52,000kg, but once its up on the lowloader, haulage firms have clocked her closer to 60,000kg. She’s a heavyweight — and it shows in her output.
Sure, we’ve had our ups and downs, like with any machine, but this one’s got grit. The throughput (TPH) still impresses, and we count ourselves lucky to have stumbled across her. She’s kept us a notch above the rest ever since.
