I’m proud to be part of an amazing Facebook group called H&F Mental Health 💚

I joined the group around 4 years ago when my own mental health started to struggle after losing my dad. It brought a lot of things back to the surface that I had buried away for years, alongside difficult relationships and more recently the challenges menopause can bring.

Mental health and menopause still aren’t talked about enough, especially within the workplace.

There are so many women trying to carry on as normal while struggling silently.

The good news is there is help out there.
There are therapies, support groups, charities, and even organisations that help employers better support staff dealing with mental health and menopause in the workplace.

I’m lucky to work somewhere that understands this and supports me properly, which makes such a huge difference.

A massive thank you to Alex Hardie and all the admins at H&F Mental Health for everything they do. The support and kindness within the group is incredible.

The hoodies and t-shirts are funded through donations from members, and each person joins a waiting list to receive one - a lovely way of people supporting each other.

So here I am proudly showing mine off 💚

☀️ Free hot water on a bank holiday 🙂

Our Samsung 5kW heat pump is doing a hot water cycle right now, the numbers are pretty remarkable.

It's rated at 5kW. This morning it's producing 11.45kW of heat from just 1.43kW of electricity. That's an efficiency (COP) of nearly 8, meaning for every £1 of electricity used, we're getting £8 of hot water.

All powered by our solar battery storage. Not a penny from the grid.

Here's the bit people don't always realise: heat pumps love mild weather. The warmer the air outside, the easier it is to extract heat from it. So while a 5kW unit sounds modest, in the right conditions it can deliver well over double its rated output. Today is one of those days.

☀️ Bank Holiday Heatwave Incoming ☀️

Well… it looks like the South Coast has officially skipped spring and gone straight into summer.

With temperatures expected to soar towards 30°C this Bank Holiday weekend, we hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy a well-earned break, a BBQ, the beach, or simply a cold drink in the garden.

As a reminder, SA Energy Ltd will be CLOSED on Monday for the Bank Holiday weekend, and our team will be taking a little time to recharge too.

But while we’re cooling off… your solar panels certainly won’t be.

This kind of weather is exactly why more homeowners and businesses across Hampshire are looking at solar PV and battery storage - generating power during the hottest, brightest parts of the day while reducing reliance on ever-changing energy prices.

And no… before anyone asks… unfortunately we don’t install air conditioning powered by wishes and positive thinking yet. 😅

We’ll be back open as normal on Tuesday and responding to all enquiries as quickly as possible.
