I recently made some cakes for a local school's cake competition in which I recreated their designs onto a mini tray cake which was the equivalent of 12 cupcakes.
There were so many beautiful, and interesting designs. Unfortunately not everyone could be a winner ð
The winning entries were determined by vote from the school fundraising committee and the school governors which must have been a hard decision I'm sure.
We have the year R entry who designed a carrot farm, with a lovely swirly tree, a colourful farmhouse and a sky that was sure to give you a "good day"
In the KS1 category, we had this wonderful giant bee with sparkly wings. It's certainly making me look forward to spring!
The KS2 winner designed this adorable Christmas rabbit with symmetrical trees and presents. Showing that even a simplistic, design can still be beautiful.
The adult cake design was kept simple with a rainbow and shimmering stars which is sure to make anyone feel happy.ð
In the new year I will make all entrants a cupcake as I can see they worked so hard on their designs and they deserve to be celebrated too.
Thank you to all who entered and Merry Christmas. Have a wonderful time with your families .
Love Suzanne and the school committee team x
