I’ve always been very creative and I have always loved to paint from an early age. The Bubba Bear journey began in 2015 when I embarked on my greatest adventure yet – becoming a mum to a beautiful baby girl! Formerly a teacher full time I thought I’d be well equipped to deal with a little sproglet! Little did I realise that my daughter would become my teacher for the foreseeable future! I couldn’t
return to teaching full time so I embraced parenthood. Knowing the importance of early development and sensory actitivies, my daughter and I spent lots of time doing ‘messy’ activities, one of which was painting. I loved taking prints of my daughter’s tiny feet (and hands when possible!). Treasuring the size seemed to capture a memory for me, knowing that she will grow everyday. Over the months I began to turn those little prints into pictures for the nursery or gifts for family members. This idea was so well received that I decided to make it my business too! Starting with the hand and footprint pictures leading up to Toddler Art activities. I love that my daughter is such an integral part of my business and I know she loves being a part of it too! A real family business, even my special doggy, Bubba, has had a few paw prints done over the last year and my wonderful husband has just finished building my art studio!
