Are you aware of the new legislation that came in to force on June 1st that states all properties now have to have an EICR (Electrical instillation condition report) before you are allowed to rent your property?

All new private tenancies will be required to ensure that Electrical installations are inspected and tested by a qualified electrician before a tenancy begins. Tenanted properties you have a little longer to comply and this will need to be carried out by April 2021.

As a landlord you will have to ensure that the property is tested at least every 5 years.

We are a professional, family run business, established in 2013, providing reliable, high quality electrical services throughout Kent.

Smart Wire is led by Steve Bullock, who has over 15 years’ experience in the electrical industry. The vast majority of our work comes via word of mouth.

We have grown organically over the years and use trusted sub-contractors for large projects. Steve also runs the business with his wife Nicole, who covers office management and administration.

We had the pleasure working with local tattoo artist Stephen Airey to create this Industrial looking electrical installation for he’s new tattoo studio.

Galvanised conduit was used throughout the install along with suspended track lighting to allow movement of the lighting for each individual tattoo artist.

Phillips Hue allows for playful colour changing lighting to the logo, booths and display units.
